Recology Yuba-Sutter

Sutter and Yuba Counties and the Cities of Live Oak, Marysville, Wheatland and Yuba City have entered into exclusive franchise agreements with Recology Yuba-Sutter (formerly Yuba-Sutter Disposal, Inc.) to provide refuse collection to residences, businesses and other organizations and also roll-off box services.

Residential Collection

For areas of Yuba and Sutter counties with curbside recycling and yard waste collection service, the basic service rate is for the standard 32-gallon garbage cart and there is no additional charge for recycling and yard waste collection.

If you are finding that you regularly need a larger garbage cart, you can order a 64- or 96-gallon cart at an additional cost. For areas of Yuba and Sutter counties that do not have curbside recycling and yard waste collection, the basic service rate includes a 96-gallon garbage cart.

If you occasionally have extra garbage, you can call the Recology Yuba-Sutter office at (530) 743-6933 in advance of your pick-up day to arrange for additional collection. There is a charge of about $3.50 for each additional 32-gallon bag of garbage collected.

Make sure your carts are visible to the driver. Your carts should be placed at the curb, at least 3 feet apart, and at least 3 feet from any cars or other objects. This allows the fully automated trucks to pick up the carts without the driver leaving the truck. This automated collection system helps to keep program costs down.

All three carts will be picked up on your regular weekly trash day. You only need to put your carts out when they are full.

Commercial Collection

Commercial collection services are provided to businesses and other organizations in garbage carts; collection bins ranging in size from 1 to 7 yards; compactors ranging in size from 1.3 to 6 yards; and frequency of service from 1 to 6 days a week.

Bulky Item Collection

Yuba-Sutter residential service customers in the three-cart service area will now receive an annual Pick-Up Service coupon in addition to the annual Free Dump Coupon. This pick-up service requires advance registration and is limited to two (2) cubic yards of bulky items, including up to four (4) passenger car and light truck tires, plus one large item such as a sofa, mattress or appliance (a $10.00 Freon Certification Fee will be applied to refrigerators and air conditioners). The Free Dump Coupon may be used at either the Marysville or Ponderosa Transfer Stations or for a second bulky item pick-up for residential customers in the three-cart service area. Additional bulky item pick-ups are available for customers in the three-cart service area for additional service charges.

Construction & Demolition Debris Collection

Construction and demolition debris box service for builders, contractors, and remodeling and renovation professionals is provided by Recology Yuba-Sutter. Debris boxes ranging in size from 15 to 40 yards are available. Construction and demolition debris is sorted on a special sorting line at Recology Yuba-Sutter's Marysville Material Recovery Facility and Transfer Station to recover recyclable materials. Wood or metal only debris boxes are also available at reduced rates.
