Raised in Sacramento, CA, Omie Hartman Jr joined the Regional Waste Management Authority team May of 2024. Omie helps ensure commercial businesses comply with Senate Bill 1383 across jurisdictions in Yuba-Sutter County. His work extends to collaborating with Recology and other partner agencies, securing grant funding, reviewing franchise agreements, and delivering educational presentations throughout the community. Omie also oversees compliance with SB 1383’s procurement mandates, ensuring jurisdictions are meeting recycled content goals. As of January 2026 Omie has received his HAZWOPER certification. Omie seeks to engage the community with the goal of moving sustainable practices forward. Outside of the office, Omie cherishes his role as a father, spending quality time with family, and staying active in the world of sports – whether watching, playing, or coaching. A proud fan of the San Francisco Giants and Sacramento Kings, he brings the same team spirit to work.
